Rookie Pride™ is Doc Wayne’s proprietary, junior curriculum designed specially for youth 5-8 years old. Rookie Pride™ reflects the skills presented in our original curriculum, Creating Champions™, while incorporating language, themes, and characters which are more age-appropriate for this age range.

Rookie Pride™ was intentionally created to attract and excite younger participants. The curriculum incorporates cartoon-like characters (a pride of lions), coloring sections, and stickers. Each facet is intended to make a young child’s time with Doc Wayne more engaging and fun.

Rookie Pride™ was developed using feedback from our younger participants, their families, our coaches, and other experts in the youth development field. Each skill, statement, and session were created to reflect evidence and trauma-informed best practices. Social emotional learning skills, which are inherent to positive youth development, guide the language and order of each skill.
