In collaboration with Emerson basketball, the women’s and men’s basketball teams raised just under two thousand dollars to donate to Doc Wayne Youth Services, a non-profit organization that specializes in sport-based therapy centered on improving mental health for the youth community. Each member of the teams sported “Mental Health Matters” t-shirts during warmups to raise awareness about the positive connection between mental health and playing sports.
