Learning Communities
Learning Communities (LCs) are groups of adults who learn from each other over time about topics of shared passion with the support of a trained Doc Wayne professional.
Rather than listen to content being delivered once, this is a recurring space where YOU exchange your knowledge, successes, and struggles with others who have similar passions but work in different contexts.
What to Expect in a Learning Community
Live & Interactive
Six live, interactive, 60-minute sessions over a period of up to three months. Session times are pre-set for each cohort.
Virtual Sessions
Sessions are virtual. Participants will join our online community through a secure video platform.
Community Learning
Across the sessions, participants share a challenge they are encountering in their work with other group members to help uncover new insights, considerations,
and solutions.
Expert Facilitators
Cohorts are led by Doc Wayne-trained facilitators who hold in-the-field experience in youth development.
Intentional Cohorts
Cohorts ideally range from 6-12 participants and are open to adults who are passionate about youth development. (e.g. organizational leaders, athletic coaches, clinicians, out-of-school time professionals, parents, teachers, etc.)
Curated Topics
LC topics include: Self-Care and Community Carefor Youth Development Professionals, Supporting LGBTQ+ Athletes in Youth Sports, Supporting Athletes of Color in Youth Sports, Trauma-Informed Care, and more.
